Monitoring and Response to Volatile Organic Compounds in the Atmosphere
Taking the existing atmospheric VOCs pollution problem in a prefecture level city in North China as the research object, gas chromatography sampling method was used to collect and analyze VOCs in the local atmosphere. The main characteristic levels, seasonal and hourly variations of VOCs in the atmosphere were clarified, and the reasons for the above characteristics were preliminarily analyzed. On this basis, the PMF source apportionment method is further applied to explore the main sources of VOCs pollutants in the atmosphere. The results show that motor vehicle exhaust emissions are the main source of VOCs pollutants in the atmosphere. Therefore,in the subsequent work, the treatment of motor vehicle exhaust should be given top priority in the local VOCs pollution control work, and corresponding measures should be taken for targeted treatment to effectively improve the atmospheric environment.
