Comparison of UV Spectrophotometry and Liquid Chromatography-mass Spectrometry for the Determination of Butyl xanthan Acid in Water
This study aims to compare the applicability and performance differences of liquid chromatography triple quadrupole tandem mass spectrometry(LC-MS/MS)and ultraviolet spectrophotometry(UV-Vis)in the determination of butyl xanthan acid in water samples.Through the above two analysis methods,a detailed description of the method principles, instruments and reagents, and analysis conditions was provided, and a comparative analysis was conducted on the drawing of standard curves, sample determination, detection limits, precision, and spiked recovery rates. The results of this study indicate that liquid chromatography triple quadrupole tandem mass spectrometry has significant advantages in the analysis of butyl xanthan acid in water. It not only provides higher analytical sensitivity and accuracy, but also effectively meets the analysis needs of complex water samples, providing important data support for environmental monitoring and water quality assessment.
