Study on the Influencing Factors and Mechanism of the Reduction Process of Titanium Dioxide by Sulfuric Acid Method
This study investigates the effects of reducing agent dosage, reaction concentration, reaction temperature, and reaction pH on the reduction process of water washed filter cake in the production of titanium dioxide by sulfuric acid method. The results showed that increasing the amount of reducing agent iron powder added can effectively reduce the Fe2O3 content, with a significant decrease in Fe2O3 content within the range of 0.12%to 0.22%.An increase in the concentration of reactants will lead to an increase in Fe2O3 content, and a high concentration will inhibit the reduction efficiency. The reaction temperature has a significant impact on the reduction effect, and the optimal reaction temperature is 50℃.The pH value has a significant impact on the reduction process, and a lower pH value is beneficial for the conversion of Fe3+to Fe2+.The order of influencing factors is:reaction pH value>reducing agent dosage>reaction temperature>reaction raw material concentration. The above results provide reference for controlling and optimizing the reduction treatment of sulfuric acid titanium dioxide in actual production.
