Application of New Technology for Gas Field Triethylene Glycol Tail Gas Treatment and Liquid Hydrocarbon Recovery
With the deepening of gas field exploitation, potential problems of triethylene glycol tail gas treatment technology are gradually emerging.Conventional exhaust gas treatment methods result in incomplete condensation of exhaust gas or insufficient separation of condensate before venting, leading to empty droplets and seriously affecting environmental safety.Although the combustion purification transformation of exhaust gas can solve the droplet problem, due to the high exhaust temperature of the triethylene glycol reboiler, the light hydrocarbons in the exhaust gas cannot be completely recovered, resulting in the waste of light hydrocarbon resources and the problem of black smoke from torch combustion. In response to the above issues, innovative processes have been developed, taking into account factors such as renovation costs, difficulty of construction operations, and the corrosive effects of recycled hydrogen sulfide on the process system. On the premise of not affecting the installation effect of the triethylene glycol tail gas recovery device(cooler),the cooler will be installed in the middle of the process from the downstream of the vent separation tank to the closed discharge tank. After installing a cooler, the goal of cooling, condensing, and recovering liquid hydrocarbons and reducing torch black smoke has been achieved, and the application effect is significant.
