Optimization Experimental Study on Factors Affecting Acid Hydrolysis in the Production of Titanium Dioxide by Sulfuric Acid Method
This study aims to optimize the acid hydrolysis process in the production of titanium dioxide by sulfuric acid method,in order to improve the acid hydrolysis rate and product quality. The influence of factors such as acid ore ratio, sulfuric acid concentration, steam addition method and amount, and compressed air usage on the acid hydrolysis rate was analyzed through experiments. The results showed that the optimal conditions for the production of titanium dioxide by sulfuric acid method were acid to mineral ratio of 2.10,sulfuric acid volume fraction of 82%,continuous steam addition method with a dosage of 1.5 kg per ton of titanium ore powder, and compressed air pressure of 0.5 MPa.At this time, the highest acid hydrolysis rate reached 97.64%.This research result can provide optimization reference for the industrial production of titanium dioxide by sulfuric acid method.
