Discussion on Energy Saving and Consumption Reduction of a Sewage Treatment Plant Based on AOA Operation Mode in AAO Process
The problems of low C/N ratio in influent water and insufficient carbon source in raw water, which are common in most sewage treatment plants at present, have a great impact on the removal of total nitrogen and other indicators. In order to ensure water quality, external carbon sources and chemical agents need to be used for regulation. It is a worthwhile issue to adjust the operation mode according to the oxygen demand of different processes and pollutants to achieve the goals of water quality compliance and energy saving. The paper takes the AAO sewage treatment plant as an example and combines its influent water quality and full-process pollutant change situation. The AAO aerobic tank is changed to the AOA(anaerobic/anoxic-aerobic-anoxic)operation mode, and the wastewater flows successively through the A-O-A biological reaction tank of the anaerobic/anoxic-aerobic-anoxic(A-O-A)reaction tank.Under the AOA operation mode, not only the carbon source in the sludge is efficiently recycled, but also the aeration volume of biological treatment is reduced, saving the cost of chemical agents and achieving the dual treatment effect of significantly improving the efficiency of nitrogen removal and phosphorus removal.
