Research on Reducing Oxide Scale in Raw Steel Billets
The thickness of the oxide scale on hot-rolled strip steel and raw material billets is of great significance for improving the surface quality of steel products and reducing production costs. However, after the raw material billets enter the heating furnace, the oxide scale gradually falls off and accumulates, which seriously affects the normal operation of the heating furnace. If not handled properly,it can also cause surface defects on the product. In response to this issue, the main impact of iron oxide scale on the heating furnace in the production of raw steel billets was analyzed, and targeted process optimization measures such as optimizing chemical composition of steel products, adjusting production process parameters, and producing iron oxide scale removal devices were formulated to reduce the rolling of iron oxide scale in hot-rolled strip steel.
