Optimization of the Sintering Ore Blending Structure and Production Practices in Jingtang
Based on the specific characteristics of its ore blending structure and the need to reduce costs and increase efficiency,Shougang Jingtang Company conducted sintering experiments using three new types of ore powders that offer high cost-effectiveness but have relatively higher SiO2 and Al2O3 content. This paper presents a study on the assimilation behavior,liquid-phase fluidity, and sintering cup experiments of the new ore powders. It analyzes the impact of incorporating these new ore powders on the economic indicators of the sintering process and applies the research findings to replace mainstream ore powders in production. The results show that increasing the total proportion of the three new ore powders to over 20%in the blended ore mixture as a feasible alternative to mainstream ore powders.By combining this approach with the control of the Jingtang sintering process, the overall stability of sinter quality was achieved, resulting in reduced ore blending costs and a decrease of approximately 4 RMB/ton in iron raw material expenses.
