Research on Optimization of Metallurgical Material Composition Ratio for Train Brake Pads
In order to promote the development of powder metallurgy materials for train brake pads in China, the influence of different reinforcement components on the performance of friction materials prepared from powder metallurgy materials was studied and analyzed. The two strengthening components studied and analyzed are carbonyl iron powder and phosphorous iron powder. The matrix of powder metallurgy materials is ultrafine copper powder, the lubrication component is copper plated graphite, and the friction component is chromium iron powder. The results show that when the speed is below 275 km/h,the friction coefficient of phosphorous iron powder material is higher, and when the speed is above 275 km/h,the friction coefficient of carbonyl iron powder is higher. At a speed of 350 km/h,the wear amount of carbonyl iron powder material is 0.625 mg/kJ,and the wear amount of phosphorous iron powder material is 1.634 mg/kJ.The study also explores the influence of phosphorous iron powder and carbonyl iron powder on the friction performance of train brake materials, which has guiding significance for the development of powder metallurgy materials and the preparation of train brake pads in China.
