The Influence of Multidirectional Extrusion on the Microstructure and Mechanical Properties of Ve hicle-used Solid Solution AZ91D Magnesium Alloy
Solid solution AZ91D alloy was obtained by controlled solution treatment of as-cast magnesium alloy at 420 ℃+10 h.The three times of extrusion were completed, and the tensile test of the obtained magnesium alloy sample was carried out.The results s how that after three extrusions, the grain size of AZ91D alloy is more uniform, the recrystallized grains are finer, and the mechanical strength is improved significantly. After three times extrusion, the tensile strength of the magnesium alloy is increased to 305 MPa and the compressive strength is 418 MPa.After tensile treatment, the grain length along the deformation direction is large, and the second phase fracture is formed after tensile treatment, showing a dispersion distribution. This study is helpful to improve the formability of magnesium alloy metallurgical samples and lay at theoretical foundation for the subsequent process strengthening.
