Application of Flue Gas Analysis in 120 t Converter
In this study,a carbon integral model was developed to predict the carbon content and temperature of molten steel based on the carbon balance principle. The model was applied to a 120-ton converter at Longmen Iron and Steel Co.,Ltd.in Shaanxi Province, which effectively guides the converter smelting process, reduces the end-point refilling times and reduces one time dephosphorization rate. The results show that the model shows good adaptability and high accuracy, and plays an important role in the company's 120-ton converter smelting production. When the end-point carbon content(w(C))is less than 0.2%,the predicted deviation of the model is less than 0.02%in the effective furnace with the factors such as composition of hot metal, abnormal temperature measurement and abnormal weight of scrap excluded, the accuracy of the prediction was 86.38%,the accuracy of the prediction was 94.42%when the deviation was less than 15 ℃,and the accuracy of the prediction of C-T was 81.49%,the requirement of terminal hit ratio in smelting process is achieved.
