Analysis of Coating Cracks in High Strength Steel with Aluminum Silicon Coating during Heating
Taking aluminum silicon coated hot formed steel as the object, this paper analyzes the influence of its heating and forming process on the cracks in the aluminum silicon coating. The results show that temperature and time have a significant impact on the thickness of the alloy layer, but have a relatively small impact on the overall thickness of the coating. The number and size of cracks increase with the increase of temperature and time, and the direction of cracks changes from perpendicular to the coating to parallel to the surface of the coating. The amount of deformation plays a decisive role in the cracking of the formed coating. As the amount of deformation increases, the cracks intensify until they fall off. There is an optimal value for the deformation rate, and either too high or too low can lead to an increase in cracks.
