Practice of Fine Production of Cathode Copper under High Current Density
Taking the refined production practice of cathode copper under high current density in a copper electrolysis plant of a certain copper industry company as an example,this paper analyzes and summarizes the composition of electrolyte and anode plate,appearance of anode plate,dosage of additives,and purification of electrolyte impurity elements.According to the 3-year production practice of the factory,under continuous high current density(320~355 A/cm2)production conditions,through refined control,various economic indicators of production have reached optimal values.The current efficiency is around 98.55%,the high-quality rate of cathode copper is≥97%,the qualification rate is>99%,and the comprehensive cost and processing cost are decreasing year by year.In the case of mixed processing of purchased copper anode plates,its cathode copper production exceeded 420 000 t in 2024.From this,it can be seen that based on the actual production situation,stable production of cathode copper under high current density can be achieved by quickly and accurately adjusting the electrolysis production process.
