Determination and Analysis of β Transition Temperature of TA24 Titanium Alloy
The(α+β)/β phase transition temperature of TA24 titanium alloy was measured by calculation method, continuous heating metallographic method and differential thermal method. The β transition temperature of TA24 alloy was determined to be 952 ℃ by observing microstructure change of α phase content with different quenching temperatures.According to the influence of the content of alloy elements and impurity elements on the accumulative value of the phase transformation temperature, the calculated value of 951.6 ℃ is close to that of metallographic method.Differential scanning calorimetry measures the heat change during the phase transition, and the transition temperature is about 954.6 ℃.The results show that the transformation temperature of TA24 titanium alloy is basically the same by these three methods, and the practical measurement should be based on the comprehensive judgement of these methods.
