Numerical Simulation Study on Deformation and Failure of Surrounding Rock During Coal Mining Through Faults
In order to effectively control the risk of coal falling and reduce the adverse effects during coal mining through faults, theoretical analysis combined with numerical simulation was used to analyze the damage of the surrounding rock of the working face passing through faults. It was found that as the working face advanced, the distance between the working face and the fault gradually decreased, and the impact of the fault on the roof rock layer gradually increased. Before the bottom passes through the roof, both the stress reducing and increasing areas of the front coal wall continue to advance, and the range of the stress concentration area shows a trend of first increasing and then decreasing, providing a certain reference for subsequent support of surrounding rock passing through faults.
