Development and Production Practice of 550 MPa Hot Formed Steel
This article introduces the method and process of hot formed steel of Tang Steel's 550 MPa grade,determines the range of steelmaking composition,and produces cold hard steel strips through acid rolling mill.The cold hard steel strips are then annealed and coated to form the final product.By controlling the hot rolled slab and furnace temperature,pickling quality,cold and hard pressing,as well as key process parameters such as cleaning,annealing,and finishing during coating,550 MPa grade hot formed steel has been successfully produced.This product has good strength and toughness,providing a low strength zone for hot stamping parts and ensuring good automotive safety performance.
