Analysis and Control of Iron Oxide Scale in Cold Rolled High Silicon Dual Phase Steel Substrate
The 4.0 mm specification for cold-rolled high silicon steel has a severe and dense red oxide scale on the surface, with a certain thickness. After hot acid washing test,it can be seen under low magnification that there is a certain roughness on the surface, and there are residual black spot defects, which affect customer use.Through analysis, the surface oxide scale of high silicon steel is Fe 2SiO4 olivine phase oxide scale containing silicon components, which is in a molten state below 1 173 ℃ and difficult to remove through a descaling system.By measures such as high temperature rapid burning and reducing the air fuel ratio, the production of iron oxide scale in the heating furnace can be reduced.By increasing the temperature during descaling to maintain the liquid state of the iron oxide scale and reducing the rolling speed during descaling, the olivine phase iron oxide scale can be effectively removed and the surface quality can be improved.
