Application of Infrared Thermal Imager in Monitoring the Production Status of Pellet Rotary Kiln
As the main equipment for metallurgical pellet production, the internal temperature and equipment safety condition of rotary kilns are difficult to obtain through direct measurement.By installing an infrared thermal imager outside the kiln, the surface temperature of the rotary kiln was monitored, and the analysis of its ignition, temperature rise, normal production temperature status, and red kiln risk was achieved. The results show that the infrared thermal imager can accurately monitor the surface temperature of the rotary kiln, with a temperature acquisition density of up to 2.4 cm and a temperature measurement accuracy of±5 ℃.During the ignition and heating process of the rotary kiln, due to the limited range of flame radiation heat transfer, the temperature rise near the kiln tail has a lag effect. When the rotary kiln is in stable production, the temperature of the kiln skin in the middle part of the kiln is around 320 ℃,and the temperature of the kiln skin at the tail part is around 250 ℃,indicating that the equipment is in good material resistance and there is currently no risk of red kiln.
