Experimental Study on Preparation of Porous Foam Aluminum with Coated TiH2 Foaming Agent
During the preparation of porous foam aluminum materials, the temperature control of hydrogen release of foaming agent is one of the difficulties. This experiment proposes to use Al2O3 to chemically coat the foaming agent TiH2,which can delay the hydrogen release. Two different thicknesses of coating layers were determined through experiments, and the microstructure of the coating foaming agent was observed using the image particle analysis system BT-1600 microscope. It can be clearly observed that the metallographic analysis images of different thicknesses of coating layers are different.By using a thermogravimetric analyzer to test the encapsulation effect of the encapsulated foaming agent,it can be analyzed that the initial hydrogen release temperature of the encapsulated foaming agent increases and the hydrogen release is stable.Compared with the porous foam aluminum materials prepared with uncoated blowing agent, the results show that the porous foam aluminum materials with more uniform pore structure can be prepared with coated TiH2.
