Analysis of Service Damage Mechanism of High Grade Silicon Steel Cold Rolling Intermediate Roll
For the continuous rolling mill of high-grade silicon steel, the difficulty of rolling increases, the accident rate of rolling increases, and the probability of damage to the cold rolling work roll and intermediate roll surface of the in-service machine increases. After grinding and maintenance, there are often eddy current inspections that fail.Bringing a lot of confusion to the operation and maintenance of the grinding rolls,as well as the detection and disposal of the rolling rolls.Through physical and chemical inspection and analysis of the injured cold rolling intermediate roll surface,it was found that the reason for the unqualified eddy current inspection was local stress changes. The intermediate roll surface state can be effectively restored through room temperature aging treatment or stress relief tempering. The room temperature aging time is 60~80 days, and the stress relief tempering process is 300 ℃ x 12 h.After treatment, the stress of the damaged intermediate roll is reduced by more than 40%,and the inspection qualification rate is improved after re-grinding.And it reduce the risk of using the cold rolling intermediate roll again on the machine.
