Improvement Research on Working Lining for Iron Ditch under Low Silicon Ironmaking Process
The low silicon process of blast furnace has low viscosity and strong fluidity of molten iron, which exacerbates the erosion and scouring problems at the main iron groove position. In order to improve the service life of the iron groove, research is conducted on the improvement of refractory working lining for the iron groove. In the original iron ditch casting material ratio, adding 10%dense fused alumina to the iron wire casting material and 4%β-Si3N4 powder to the slag wire casting material can effectively improve the resistance to erosion and scouring. The optimization plan for the proportion of castable in the iron ditch has been implemented and applied in a low silicon ironmaking blast furnace in Hebei Province, while adjusting the slope of the main ditch. The application results show that the erosion resistance and scouring ability of the slag iron wire in the main iron ditch have been improved, solving the problems of asynchronous erosion of slag iron wire and grooves in the contact area in the past. The one-time iron throughput has been increased to 150 000 tons, and the safety and economic benefits are significant.
