The Propagation Law of Gas Explosion in Bifurcated Pipelines Under Semi-closed Conditions
Aim to study the propagation law of gas explosion in bifurcated pipelines under semi closed conditions, and conduct gas explosion experiments in a self-made gas explosion experimental pipeline system, experiments were conducted on branching pipes at 30 °,45 °,60 °,90 °,120 °,135 °,and 150 °.The sealing conditions were that straight pipes were sealed with PVC semi permeable membranes, and branch pipes were sealed with acrylic plates. The results show that in a semi closed pipeline, the gas explosion pressure at the closed end of the acrylic plate increases, while the explosion pressure at the closed end of the PVC decreases. The flame propagation speed in a semi enclosed pipeline is accelerated first. When the flame front passes through the bifurcation angle and at the closed end of the acrylic plate, the flame speed suddenly decreases and flame oscillation occurs. However,at the closed end of the PVC film, the flame front quickly rushes out of the pipeline. As the bifurcation angle increases, the gas explosion pressure and flame propagation speed in the sem-closed pipeline first decrease and then increase.
