Analysis of Surface Material Texture Defects on 6063 Aluminum Alloy
The surface morphology and composition of material patterns on 6063 aluminum alloy were analyzed and studied using metallographic microscope(OM),scanning electron microscope(SEM),and energy dispersive spectrometer(EDS).The results indicate that this surface material pattern is mainly due to the accumulation of unmelted Mg2Si phase, which damages the integrity of the oxide film and causes many small pores to appear on the surface.By strictly controlling the homogenization temperature and the extrusion temperature of the extruded rod,the melting and precipitation of phases can be controlled, which can effectively eliminate material grain defects.
