Design and Test Analysis of Monitoring System for Selective Laser Melting Pool
The temperature of the molten pool can affect the microstructure and residual stress of the manufactured part, leading to deformation.Meanwhile, technological parameters such as laser power and scanning speed,as well as adverse factors such as airflow disturbance and component vibration, can affect the morphology of the molten pool.Monitoring and analyzing the temperature and morphology of the molten pool is of positive significance for improving the quality of the manufactured part.It designed a molten pool temperature monitoring system based on a thermal imaging sensor, captured temperature distribution images of the molten pool, established a prediction model for the temperature field of the molten pool, and conducted experiments to measure the temperature of the molten pool under different laser powers. The experimental results showed that the error between the theoretical peak temperature of the molten pool and the actual peak temperature of the molten pool was between-7%and-10%.It also designed a molten pool morphology monitoring system using a high-speed industrial camera to capture images of the molten pool's morphology.Through image filtering, image segmentation, edge detection, and geometric feature recognition,we obtained geometric parameters of the molten pool. The research results of this project provide technical support for online real-time adjustment of selective laser melting.
