Effect of Orthogonal Experiment on Axial Force of Mg Twist Drilling Process
The anisotropy between layers of fiber reinforced composite Mg has great influence on drilling process. The electroplated diamond bit and carbide twist drill were used to test Mg drilling, and the corresponding orthogonal scheme was designed to judge the changes of drilling force and drilling damage caused by cutting tool material and drilling parameters. The results show that the optimum conditions for determining the minimum axial force are as follows:speed 6 000 r/min,feed speed 25 mm/min,twist drill. Each processing parameter has an effect on the axial force:cutting tool, feed speed, speed. The research is helpful to improve the drilling efficiency of intelligent manufacturing and can be extended to other machining fields.
