The Shanmutang Pb Zn deposit is located in the Qujiang Yingde fault basin in northern Guangdong,in the middle of the the Nanling Mountain latitudinal structural belt.The exposed strata mainly include the Lower Carboniferous Shidengzi Formation(C1s)of the Paleozoic era and the Quaternary System(Q)of the Cenozoic era.The genesis type of the deposit belongs to the medium low temperature hydrothermal tectonic activity mineralization.It mainly analyzed the regional geological background,mining area geological characteristics,surrounding rock alteration,and ore body characteristics,studied the genesis and prospecting indicators of the ore deposit in the area,and pointed out the direction for the next step of prospecting.
