Geological Characteristics and Genesis of Hongliugou Iron Deposit
Hongliugou Iron mine is located in the northwest of Shibao town,Subei County,Gansu Province.The distribution of strata,structures and intrusive rocks in the area is generally consistent with the tectonic lines in the area.The magmatic rocks in the area are not developed,mainly consisting of sporadically distributed intermediate acidic intrusive bodies,and vein rocks are sporadically distributed.Faults are the main ore controlling structures in the area,and according to their distribution characteristics,they are mainly dominated by three sets of fault combinations in different directions.The production of iron ore bodies has obvious layer control characteristics and often appears in zones.According to the spatial distribution pattern of the ore zone and ore body,as well as the range of magnetic anomalies,the deposit is divided into three ore zones.24 different forms of iron ore bodies have been discovered in the mining area,most of which are layered or lens shaped.The genesis type of the deposit belongs to the sedimentary metamorphic iron deposit.
