Numerical Simulation Analysis of the Impact of Underground Mining on Open-pit Iron Mine Slopes
This study aims to analyze the impact of underground mining on the stability of open-pit iron mine slopes through numerical simulation.A numerical model was constructed using Flac3D software and finite difference method, which includes lithological characteristics, fault conditions, and rock mechanics parameters. The simulation results show that underground mining activities result in an elliptical distribution of surface subsidence, with subsidence values decreasing from the center to the periphery. The existence of faults significantly affects the settlement pattern and range, especially in the vicinity of the F fault. The research results indicate that underground mining has a significant impact on the stability of open-pit iron ore slopes, providing a scientific basis for the safe operation of mining areas and subsequent mining planning.
