Research on the Application of Feeding System for Short Process Electric Furnace Based on Long Process Converter Utilization and Transformation
Against the background of ZhangXuan's transformation from a 150 ton converter to a 120 ton electric furnace for steelmaking,this article provides a detailed introduction to ZhangXuan's active exploration of the feeding system for the conversion of long process converters to short process electric furnaces.Based on the utilization of existing equipment such as the high span of the original converter and some high-level material bins and weighing hoppers,the technical difficulties of different spans between the original converter high span and the new electric furnace were effectively solved through the setting of horizontal belt conveyors and cross span belt conveyors,reducing the investment and construction period of the"conversion to electricity"project for steel enterprises.At the same time,the energy consumption and environmental pollution during the demolition and construction of high spans were significantly reduced.On the basis of the renovation of the original converter feeding system,the ZhangXuan electric furnace feeding system innovatively adopts a quantitative feeder instead of the traditional weighing hopper batching method,ensuring the continuous and accurate addition of deoxidized pellets and auxiliary materials,which is conducive to improving the slag conditions of the electric furnace,maintaining the stability of the molten pool temperature,and thereby improving the quality of the molten steel.
