Exploration of Inherent Defects and Improvement Methods in the Structural Design of Dry Quenching Coke Oven Lining
In depth analysis is conducted on the damage phenomenon of the lining structure of dry quenching coke oven in actual operation, and inherent defects in the lining design are pointed out, such as the damage of inclined cow leg bricks and annular air ducts. The focus is on exploring its damage mechanism and proposing corresponding improvement methods. The improvement plan for inclined cow leg bricks includes increasing the inclination angle to vertical support and adopting interval support to reduce the internal stress borne by refractory bricks. In terms of the design of cylindrical bricks in the annular air duct, the material thickness and brick design were optimized to address the deformation and expansion issues of the support.Dry masonry technology was introduced, and ceramic fiber paper and retaining walls were added to reduce thermal stress damage. After the renovation is completed, the service life and reliability of the dry quenching coke oven are enhanced.
