Analysis of Pseudo-crack in In-service Hydrofluoric Acid Pipeline
Analyze and study the problem of crack like defects in X-ray images of welds in pressure pipelines involving hydrofluoric acid in alkylbenzene units.By using macroscopic analysis, electron microscopy scanning analysis, microstructure analysis, corrosion mechanism analysis and other methods,it is determined that the crack is not a crack in the weld body, but a"pseudo crack"caused by corrosion product cracking.Although there is corrosion and thinning in the weld area,it has not failed and does not affect the continued use of the pressure pipeline.
