Research and Practice on Coke Extraction from Blast Furnace Tuyere
In order to conduct in-depth research on the degradation mechanism of coke in blast furnaces, quantitatively describe the particle size and liquid permeability of coke in the furnace hearth, and scientifically and comprehensively evaluate the quality of coke entering the furnace,Jingye Iron and Steel conducted three coke extraction experiments at the tuyere of two blast furnaces.Through statistical analysis of experimental data, the average particle size of coke in front of the tuyere of the sampled blast furnace was calculated to be 15.33 mm,the average particle size of coke in the hearth was 10.47 mm,the length of the swirling zone was 1.75~2.25 m,and the activity level of the hearth was 56%~68%.The experiment also found a significant negative correlation between the coke particle size and liquid permeability of the blast furnace hearth and the coal ratio. The stability of the blast furnace coal ratio is an important guarantee for the stability of coke particle size in the furnace.Referring to the relevant parameters of the benchmark blast furnace,it is concluded that the daily use of coke in the sampled blast furnace is at a medium to low level, which is not conducive to long-term heavy load smelting.Based on the experimental conclusions, measures such as increasing the proportion of top mounted dry quenched coke, increasing the average particle size acceptance index of incoming coke, adjusting the M]o acceptance index, and stabilizing the daily furnace operation coal ratio control are taken to improve the overall quality of incoming coke, ensure the level of coke particle size and liquid permeability in the furnace, and provide support for maintaining long-term stable and smooth operation of the blast furnace and further strengthening smelting.
