Base on an antique tall building which located in the seismic fortification intensity area of 7 degrees,this paper introduces the characteristics of the antique tall building with large slope roof and the key points in the design.Due to the modeling requirements of this design,the structure has adverse seismic characteristics such as large holes,skip-floor col-umn,body retraction,stiffness irregularity,etc..This project was analysis and designed with the YJK structural design software,and combined standard layers to avoid unreasonable weak layer judgment in the software,and carried out the elastic time-history analysis to supplement the calculation of the empty rooms on the top layer of the structure.The calcula-tion results show that the structure design of this project is reasonable and economy.This paper listed the calculation re-sults,analyzed and expounded the methods to deal with these design key,and showed how to adjust the design parameters to avoid this structure being judged as an over-limit building,so as to shorten the design cycle and meet the requirements of the current technical specifications for structural design,and put forward design suggestions for similar projects.
