In order to ensure the integrity and stability of historical buildings,their protection and maintenance require ac-curate mapping data.Three-dimensional laser scanning technology is utilized to replace the traditional single-point eleva-tion mapping technology for the protection of historical buildings.This method can maximize labor cost savings and im-prove work efficiency.Explore the use of 3D laser scanning technology in ancient building survey,and elaborate its basic principles and advantages.Through the application in actual cases,3D laser scanning technology shows great potential in the appearance inspection of ancient buildings,providing a strong guarantee for the protection and inheritance of historical and cultural architectural heritage.
