Numerical simulation analysis of layered filling for reinforcing soft soil subgrade embankment
Taking a certain highway in Jiangsu Province as the research background,cement-soil mixing piles, geogrids, and a 0.5 m sand cushion were used for ground treatment. The finite element software PLAXIS was employed to analyze the vertical settlement and horizontal displacement deformation of the subgrade soil after the layered filling construction process. The research results showed that the vertical settlement after using cement-soil mixing piles decreased by 45.6%.The horizontal displacement after treatment was 39%of the pre-treatment value, and the location of the maximum horizontal displacement shifted downward from the toe of the embankment to the bottom of the cement-soil mixing piles.During the layered filling construction process, both horizontal displacement and vertical displacement increased to a cer-tain extent with each layer of filling. The further the distance from the center of the embankment, the smaller the influence on the vertical displacement, and the horizontal displacement showed a trend of initially increasing and then decreasing.
