Impact analysis of horizontal directional drilling crossing on existing urban main water supply pipe
As an important part of the urban lifeline,the safety of the urban main water supply pipe affects the normal op-eration of the city,which needs to be strictly protected in the engineering construction.The new power pipe project is lo-cated under the existing DN1 800 mm urban main water supply pipe and intersects with it in 81° space,with a clear dis-tance of 11.80 m from top to bottom.The horizontal directional drilling method is used to cross the newly-built power pipe.In order to ensure the safety of the existing water supply pipe,the finite element method is used to analyze the im-pact of the crossing construction on the pipeline.The pipeline and the soil around the pipe are monitored during the whole construction process.The measured data are in good agreement with the finite element analysis results,indicating that the construction method is safe and feasible.
