Key points and analysis of seismic design for the rigid connected structure of an emergency hotel
A certain emergency hotel project in Zhejiang Province is connected by two towers A and B through a large-span connecting corridor at the top.The connecting corridor adopts a steel truss structure, with a net span of about 34.5 me-ters.The structure of the project is an over limit structure due to multiple"irregularities".To achieve the predetermined seismic performance goals,we have adopted targeted design strengthening strategies for various"irregular"items of the structure.Subsequently, two different mechanical models,YJK and PMSAP,were used to compare and analyze the seis-mic performance of the connected structure. Then, through performance-based design and dynamic elastoplastic time histo-ry analysis, the response characteristics of the structure under seismic fortification and rare earthquake conditions were ex-plored.Finally,a special analysis will be conducted on the comfort and temperature stress of the corridor section.Based on the calculation and analysis results,we have implemented effective strengthening strategies for the core key parts and weak parts of the structure, achieving the established seismic performance design goals and ensuring the safety and relia-bility of the structure.
