Study on the mechanical properties of energy-consuming glulam walls
In order to improve the problems of high stiffness,low ductility and poor energy consumption of glulam shear walls,three energy-dissipating glulam walls with mild steel dampers arranged inside the glulam walls were designed and analyzed through numerical simulation.The influence of different damper setting schemes in the wall on the bearing capac-ity,ductility and energy consumption performance of the glulam wall.The results show that the energy-dissipating glulam wall with mild steel dampers installed vertically along the wall has greater stiffness,higher bearing capacity,significantly improved ductility and energy-dissipating capacity,and has high engineering application value.
