Experimental study on the parameter values of deformation modulus of lower layer rock mass under bidirectional loading
In the foundation of the Longtan Grand Bridge arch,a rigid bearing plate method was used to conduct deforma-tion modulus tests on rock masses with a dip angle of 38°~40° under vertical and horizontal loads on the arch, targeting layered strongly weathered to moderately weathered sandy mudstone. The results show that the deformation modulus of the arch base under vertical load is 0.454 2 GPa~0.832 9 GPa,and the deformation modulus of the arch base under horizon-tal load is 0.066 GPa~0.088 GPa.The study deeply analyzed the deformation mechanism and laws of layered rock mas-ses,revealed the deformation laws under different loading conditions, and proposed a method to determine the weight ratio of vertical and horizontal deformation moduli in the comprehensive modulus. This study has important reference value for the deformation characteristics of layered rock masses and the theoretical calculation of large-span arch bridges.
