Spalling characteristics and control technology of inter-face protective coal pillar
During the mining process of the fully mechanized working face,the stability of the protective coal pillar between the faces directly affects the safety production of the mine,so it is very important to analyze the rib spalling characteristics and control technology of the coal pillar between the faces.Through the analysis of the stress distribution law and plastic zone distribution state of the coal pillar between the faces,the characteristics of the spalling of the coal pillars during the mining process of the working face are revealed.The control technology of the spalling of the coal pillars is determined and the field engineering practice is carried out.The results show that during the mining process of unilateral and bilateral work-ing faces,the spalling of the coal pillars is asymmetrically distributed.The spalling degree of the coal pillars between the sides of the working face is significantly greater than that of the mining roadway.The spalling degree of the coal pillars for the bilateral working faces is greater than that of the unilateral working face,and the maximum net diameter is about 1.25 m.The length and broken line position of the key block B of the strike and dip masonry beam formed by the overlying strata are the main influential factors of the coal pillar spalling between the faces during the mining process.By changing the position and length of the broken line of the strike and dip of the overlying strata of the coal pillar,the irregular spalling of the coal pillar is effectively controlled and the degree of spalling is reduced with good practical effect.
