An Empirical Analysis of the Impact of the Digital Economy on Green Development
"Green water and green mountains are gold and silver mountains",green development is one of China's five major development concepts,in the continuous development of digitalization today,digital economy has gradually become an important means to promote green development.This paper expounds the impact of dig-ital economy on green development from three perspectives:direct effect,indirect effect and spatial effect.Based on the panel data of 30 provinces(municipalities and autonomous regions)in China from 2011 to 2020,the evaluation index is constructed,and its mediation mechanism and spatial effect are explored.Research and development:the digital economy can significantly promote green development,and produce positive spatial spillover effects on surrounding areas,driving green development in surrounding areas;The improvement of inno-vation level and the optimization and upgrading of industrial structure are important intermediary factors for pro-moting green development in the digital economy,and their intermediary effects account for 12.58%and 31.07%respectively.Based on these conclusions,this paper puts forward relevant policy suggestions on how to use the digital economy to empower green development.
