Study on Spatial Distribution Characteristics and Influencing Factors of National Forest Villages in Gansu Province
Using 159 national forest villages in Gansu Province as the research objects, this study employs methods such as kernel density analysis and geographical concentration index to explore the spatial distribution characteristics and influencing factors of national forest villages in Gansu Province. The research findings indicate the following:(1)There are significant spatial distribution differences among national forest villages in Gansu Province, generally showing a pattern of being more concentrated in the southeast and less in the northwest.(2)The spatial distribution of national forest villages in Gansu Province exhibits significant spatial autocorrelation, but with substantial variations and noticeable polarization.High-high(H-H)values appear in Tianshui City, while low-low(L-L)values are primarily concentrated in Zhangye and Wuwei.(3)The spatial distribution of na-tional forest villages in Gansu Province is primarily influenced by factors such as topography, vegetation cover-age,economic foundation, population density, and transportation location. These villages are mostly located in areas with elevations between 1 000 and 2 000 meters, gentle slopes with less than 35 °,regions with high vegeta-tion coverage, economically underdeveloped areas, densely populated areas, and areas where major highways and railways pass through.
