The reassessment of flood control capacity is an important aspect of reservoir safety evaluation.Taking Longdantang Reservoir in Sishui Town,Gaozhou City as the analysis subject,a reassessment analysis of its flood control capacity was conducted.Firstly,the design flood was reassessed using the comprehensive unit hydrograph method and deductive formula method.Secondly,reservoir regulation calculations were performed based on the principle of water balance.Subsequently,a reassessment of dam crest elevation and spillway capacity was conducted.Finally,a comprehensive evaluation of the flood control capacity of the reservoir was carried out.The results indicate that the flood control capacity of Longdantang Reservoir in Sishui Town,Gaozhou City,meets all requirements,and the flood safety of the dam is rated as Class B.The research results can provide reference for the reassessment of flood control capacity in other reservoirs.
