Study on Spatial Analysis and Evaluation of Soil Erosion Risk in Zhejiang Province by Applying RUSLE Model
Based on geographic information science and remote sensing technology, this study extracted five environmental parameters of soil erosion in Zhejiang Province, including rainfall erosion force, slope length and slope gradient, soil erodibility, vegetation and soil conservation measures from heterogeneous source data sets, and quantitatively evaluated the soil erosion modulus and its risk characteristics in combination with RUSLE model. The results show that the average soil erosion modulus in Zhejiang Province is 385.4 t-km2-a,which is of medium erosion intensity. The risk of soil erosion is mainly high risk, accounting for 47.74%of the provincial area;the areas with medium risk, low risk and no risk grades account for 22.65%,11.18%and 18.42%in turn.Soil erosion modalities are unevenly distributed in each area, with Ningbo and Taizhou areas having the highest intensity and risk of soil erosion. The results can provide scientific basis and decision support for soil and water conservation work in Zhejiang Province.
