The Influence of River Embankment Water Level Change on the Seepage of Embankment
Exploring the influence of embankment water level change on embankment seepage is very important to ensure the long-term stable and safe operation of embankment, maintain the sustainable utilization of water resources and the healthy development of ecological environment.Based on a river embankment project, the numerical simulation method was used to explore the influence of the water level rise and fall of the river embankment on the internal seepage field and pore water pressure change of the embankment slope, and the influence of different water level rise and fall rates on the seepage velocity of each monitoring point inside the slope was analyzed. The results show that when the water level increases, the pore water pressure of the soil increases, and the height of the infiltration line inside the slope increases, but lags behind the height of the water level. When the water level decreases, the pore water pressure of the soil decreases, the height of the infiltration line decreases, and the closer the distance from the slope surface, the greater the hydraulic gradient.
