Simulation Analysis of Seepage in Underground Powerhouse Caverns of Dongzhuang Water Control Project
The Dongzhuang water conservancy project is located in the northern karst area, and high standards are required for the seepage analysis and rationality of seepage control measures for the underground caverns due to the complex geological conditions.By establishing a three-dimensional finite element model describing the underground caverns at the left bank of the Dongzhuang project, the seepage field at the left bank after the reservoir filling has been analyzed. The research results show that after the reservoir filling both the generator layer above the main power house and the main transformer cavern are basically in a dry state.Drainage facilities such as drainage holes and corridors play a key role in the drainage of upstream reservoir water from the underground caverns. The anti-seepage curtain of the reservoir area at the left bank area has played a positive role in preventing seepage and reducing pressure, extending the seepage path of the reservoir water. The anti-seepage drainage system of the underground caverns could meet the design requirements, and the seepage control measures are reasonable and feasible. The research results provide a reference for the seepage analysis and anti-seepage design of underground caverns in karst areas of northern China.
