Study on Distribution Characteristics of Incised Gravity Stress Field in Multi-stage Valley
The distribution characteristics of unloading stress in river valley undercutting have always been one of the focuses of hydropower engineering. The distribution characteristics of gravity stress field after multi-stage valley undercutting are simulated by Geo-studio.The analysis shows that the obvious stress redistribution occurs only in a certain depth range from the slope surface during the valley undercutting process, which is mainly manifested in the deflection and magnitude change of the main stress direction. The magnitude of the principal stress in the valley and the deep part of the slope does not change with the process of valley undercutting. There is a slight unloading phenomenon on the surface of the valley, but the degree is very low.At the same time, the existence of the weak interlayer will make the stress of the rock mass in the interlayer obviously relaxed, and the stress increases in the adjacent hard rock, but it has little effect on the distant rock mass.
