Experimental Study on the Influence of Guide Vanes on the Hydraulic Characteristics of Desilting Funnel
In order to reduce the amount of silt in the funnel chamber of the sand discharge funnel,an improved scheme of arranging annular guide plates on the bottom plate of the funnel chamber is proposed. The effects of the arrangement position and number of annular guide plates on the water consumption rate of sediment discharge, the amount of silt in the funnel chamber and the sediment interception rate are investigated. The experimental results show that the arrangement of a certain number of guide plates on the bottom plate of the cone of the sand discharge funnel can increase the rotational velocity at the bottom plate of the cone.Through the evaluation and comparison of three indexes of G1,G2 and G3(the change rate of sediment discharge water consumption rate under different guide vane arrangement compared with the traditional sediment discharge funnel G1,the change rate of sediment deposition under different guide vane arrangement compared with the traditional sediment discharge funnel G2,and the sediment interception rate under different guide vane arrangement compared with the traditional sediment discharge funnel G3),it is concluded that the arrangement of three layers of guide vanes at the outermost ring position of the cone bottom plate can minimize the deposition amount in the funnel type.Compared with the traditional desilting funnel, the desilting water consumption rate of the scheme is reduced by 4.56%,the sediment deposition of the cone bottom plate is reduced by 10.24%,and the sediment removal rate is increased by 0.65%.The research results can provide a basis for the optimal design of the guide vane in the desilting funnel project.
