Three-dimensional Seepage Analysis of a Tailings Dam
In order to reveal the influence of the saturation line depth of tailings dam on the stability of the whole dam body,a three-dimensional finite element model is established to study the seepage stability of the dam body at different elevations by taking a tailings dam in Gansu Province as the engineering research object. The results show that the distribution law of saturation line is basically the same under different working conditions.Considering the effect of drainage facilities, there is no slope overflow phenomenon at each elevation, which meets the requirements of the specification for the minimum buried depth of saturation line.According to the results of three-dimensional seepage simulation calculation, there will be no seepage deformation or seepage failure in tailings dam under different elevation conditions. The seepage stability of tailings dam meets the requirements, but the monitoring and control of saturation line should be strengthened in the subsequent accumulation process.
