Engineering Geological Issues and Evaluation of Dayecheon Reservoir
The Dayecheon Reservoir is located in the upper reaches of the Paotong River,a tributary of the first-level branch of the Zi River. It is a medium-sized reservoir primarily designed for irrigation purposes, while also providing integrated benefits such as flood control and aquaculture.Through engineering geological investigations of the reservoir area, including topography, lithology, tectonics and seismic conditions, physical geological situations, and hydrogeological conditions,as well as evaluations of the engineering geological issues such as leakage along the linear mountain ridges, reservoir siltation, and karst-related poor geological conditions, the main engineering geological issues within the reservoir area were identified.Corresponding handling suggestions for the major constructions'engineering geological issues were proposed, which could serve as exploration experience and reference for similar future projects.
